Gemma Harwood artist information:

Gemma Harwood is a figurative painter and previous finalist in the 2004 B.P. Portrait Awards held at the National Portrait Gallery, London.

Gemma works successfully with mediums including Linen & Stone as well as introducing graphite and collage.

Most recently Gemma has created the original idea of Map Trees using Maps on panels some with metal leaf panels. The British OS Map working particularly well. Gemma has successfully completed commissions featuring parts of the UK and beyond. The concept also maintains the geographical positioning of the Map on the Tree. The Map Tress have sold out when exhibited at Art fairs in London & New York and Hong Kong.

The stunning compositions work on various levels and can work well as a feature piece for any room. The incorporation of the Maps make for a conversation piece as the viewer approaches.
