Julian Sutherland-Beatson – Landscape and Urban Artist
Julian Sutherland-Beatson is celebrated for his evocative paintings of the UK’s landscapes, coastlines, and urban environments. With a foundational education in illustration and printmaking from Eastbourne College of Art, Julian initially pursued a career in graphic design and illustration under the tutelage of master printmaker Robert Tavener.
Artistic Achievements
Since 2004, Julian’s work has gained significant recognition, starting when two of his paintings were purchased by the House of Lords, integrating with their collection of period travel paintings. His commitment to his craft has seen him painting full-time and exhibiting widely across the UK and Europe.
Notably, Julian’s artworks have been featured on three occasions at the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, marking him as a significant contemporary artist in the British art scene.
