Robert travels around Italy, particularly Venice, sketching before returning to the studio to paint. He is keen to depict every city from a different angle- seeking out the less familiar perspective of familiar scenes and encouraging the viewer to look into the corners that might otherwise be overlooked. Robert has regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the NEAC .
