KATTY MCMURRAY

Katty was born in London in 1970. Since graduating from the Chelsea School of Art in 1991, she has been painting professionally and has gained a huge following throughout the UK.  Katty McMurray’s much loved and admired paintings are to be returning to Chelsea this autumn for an exhibition that draws upon an eclectic mix of travels over the last year… From the warm tones of Morocco and Andalucia to the heat and vibrancy of Tobago and back to her characteristic earthy shades of coastal England, this show at the Fairfax Gallery in Chelsea promises to be as popular as her previous sell out Exhibitions around the country.

 Over the last year Katty has worked on several large commissions, these include paintings for the P&O cruise liner, Arcadia, launched last Autumn, and more recently she was commissioned to provide all the artwork for a new London Hotel ‘The Hoxton’ due to launch in September 2006.
